The Department of Parks hires a large number of interim (temporary) employees each year to provide service to guests during peak tourism season. These employees may perform duties in maintenance, recreation, housekeeping, kitchens, dining rooms, front desk operations, gift shops, campgrounds, at swimming pools and/or on golf courses.

The KDFWR hires a number of interim (temporary) employees on a seasonal basis. These employees may perform duties as conservation camp counselor at one of three statewide camps; maintenance of grounds, equipment and facilities at statewide fish hatcheries or wildlife management areas; fishery or wildlife surveys at remote locations; field sampling activities; computerized entry of field data; greeting customers; selling hunting or fishing licenses; reservations at the Salato Wildlife Education Center; interpretive programs for the general public; development of and participation in events and activities for school groups; administrative support.

These employees are hired to help run the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Leadership Training Center in Hardinsburg (Breckinridge County), Kentucky. The Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB) hires a number of interim (temporary) employees on a seasonal basis. These positions for the KSFB are for the promotion and production of the 2008 Kentucky State Fair at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) located in Jefferson County.

These positions may involve interactions with the general public, development of and participation in events and activities for the Kentucky State Fair, and administrative support. These positions will require flexible schedules.

These employees may perform duties in maintenance worker positions in the grounds and horticulture areas, and office support positions for the assistance in the areas of sponsorships, expositions sales, entries, horseshow, media, and Fair Bear Mascots in the public relations area.
