KY Certified Public Manager Program

Kentucky Certified Public Manager® Program Still Seeking Applications for 2007-2008 Academic Year

We still have spots open for Summer 2008, so you still have time to submit your application for the KCPM program.  If you are:

  1. Currently a manager / supervisor of an organizational unit,
  2. Currently a manager of a state government program or significant project, or
  3. Currently a developmental candidate for such a position, as documented in the agency's Workforce Plan or the individual's Professional Development Plan

Consider adding to your professional development by applying for the Certified Public Manager Certificate Program.  We will continue accepting nominations from each Cabinet until all spots have been filled. If you are interested in being a Cabinet nominee, complete the application provided on this page and follow your agency procedures for completion.

Certificate of Management Fundamentals (CMF)

The Certificate of Management Fundamentals (CMF) is still available.  The CMF certificate focuses on developing and enhancing competencies required for effectively improving personal performance and the performance of others. 

The CMF certificate is appropriate for employees with the motivation to grow in their current jobs and the desire to assume even greater responsibility.

The CMF follows a specific curriculum and no application is necessary. 

For more information and a listing of CMF requirements, please see: CMF Requirements (PDF - 77 KB).   As part of the new requirements, you will also have to complete a written project.  Please see our CMF Project Writing Handbook (MSWord 542K) for more information on the required project.
