The Personnel Cabinet is responsible for administering the state's compensation plan which determines the pay amounts all employees receive based on their job responsibilities and duties. That plan is determined by surveying and comparing the pay of outside agencies and other states that have employees performing similar duties and carrying similar responsibilities against what is financially available within the state.
